A hectic first month getting everything tweaked and setup for the World Artists Contest. The vote was very close and came down to three finalists which were Kim Bishop, Patrick Matriscino and Donna Lee. All three were deserving and received equal votes. A second round of voting had to take place to determine a winner and the final winner was of course Patrick Matriscino.
There were 12 artists in all who received votes from the judges out of 211 entries for the October contest. You will see examples of all their work above and we wish them good luck in the November contest. All of our artists are winners and every judge said it was an extremely difficult choice to make. November is well under way with 135 entries already as I write this so don't miss your chance!
How was the Winner Determined? - We enlisted the help of a group of independent judges and had each one submit their top 5 images. From those top images we looked for the artist who received the most selections by a judge. This gave us three artists with the same number of votes. We then asked our judges to review the pieces that received votes submitted by the top 3 finalists to determine their favorite artist.
